Terms of Service

Welcome to Vello. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Vello mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Vello Technologies ("Vello," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using Vello, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Vello is a bill tracking and monitoring service that connects to your utility, telecom, and subscription provider accounts to retrieve billing information. The Service provides:

• A dashboard to view all your bills in one place
• Bill status monitoring (amounts due, due dates, payment status)
• Notifications for upcoming due dates, overdue bills, and bill changes
• Statement access and downloads (Premium feature)
• Connection management for your bill providers

Important: Vello does not pay bills on your behalf. You are responsible for making all payments directly to your providers.

To use Vello, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We use passwordless authentication via email verification codes to secure your account.

When you connect a bill provider to Vello:

• You authorize us to access your account information on that provider's platform
• You represent that you have the right to access the accounts you connect
• You understand that we retrieve billing data automatically on your behalf
• You can disconnect any provider at any time

We are not responsible for any actions taken by providers, including account restrictions or changes to their terms of service.

Vello offers a premium subscription ("Vello Premium") with additional features. Premium subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store.

5.1 Subscription Terms

• Premium is billed monthly at $9.99/month
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods

5.2 Premium Features

• Statement PDF access and downloads
• Connect more bill providers
• More frequent bill status refreshes
• Priority support
• Request new billers (added within a week)

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Connect accounts that you do not own or have authorization to access
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated systems to access the Service without our permission
• Share your account credentials with others

The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Vello Technologies and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Bill information will always be accurate or up-to-date
• All bill providers will be supported or remain connected
• The Service will meet your specific requirements

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VELLO TECHNOLOGIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Late fees or penalties resulting from missed payments
• Service interruptions or disconnections by your providers
• Inaccurate bill information displayed in the app
• Loss of data or unauthorized access to your accounts

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Vello Premium in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vello Technologies and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your connected provider accounts

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in the app.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Extended periods of inactivity
• Discontinuation of the Service

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the app and updating the "Last updated" date.

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Vello Technologies is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
